Weft Faced Weaving

Weft faced weaving structures emphasize weft yarns allowing the weaver to experiment with color and pattern in unique ways. These projects are perfect for wall hangings, upholstery, and rugs. They are also quick to set up, using fewer warp ends which are widely spaced to allow the weft yarns space to pack in. Kept small, these projects are a great "palate cleanser" between projects. Larger projects allow the weaver to savor time at the loom.

This class meets in downtown Columbia on Friday, February 26 from 5-8; Saturday, February 27 from 9-5; and Sunday, February 28 from 1-5

Cost for the course is $130 and includes all materials and equipment.

A non-refundable $30 deposit holds your place in the class. Balance of $100 due on the first day of class. Members of the Columbia Fiber Arts Guild will receive a 5% discount.

Students are expected to have familiarity with the fundamentals of weaving and be able to warp a floor loom with limited assistance.

Class size is limited to allow for space between students and limit the need for shared equipment.
