Counterbalance Loom
This loom is an early Leclerc counterbalance loom. Likely made in the 1940s. I bought it from the Yadkin Valley Arts Council and have cleaned it and moved it from my dining room, where this picture was taken, to my studio in the Tapp’s Arts Center in Columbia, SC.
Jack Loom
Handmade of cherry wood, I bought this 4-shaft jack loom from a master carpenter and his wife who moved from New Hampshire to North Carolina and needed to downsize. It is not only a great loom, but a beautiful piece of furniture. It fits perfectly in my home studio.
